Greta Gerwig has become a reputable figure in the world of independent cinema. You might have watched Frances Ha and saw the witty free-spirit you were searching for. Perhaps you watched Mistress America and witnessed an endearing story of young adulthood that resonated with your entire being. Maybe you watched 20th Century Women and laughed and cried with Gerwig’s dynamic character. Or maybe you were like me and became a huge Greta fan after watching her dance routine during Arcade Fire’s performance of Afterlife. Either way, Greta Gerwig has been involved in so many amazing films and projects that it’s impossible to not fall in love with her work.

Her latest project, Lady Bird, is another piece of endearing cinema that will leave you with a full heart. Being that this was Gerwig’s directorial debut,  I am completely floored by how great of a movie it was. Not that I should have had any doubts at all, but it’s such an impressive feat for the film to still have a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for this long. I really have to wrack my brain to find anything negative to say about this movie.
